Bought this pen in California from a antique shop in Pacific Grove. This store, although very nice, specialized in old art and glass/ceramic sculptures and not much else. Suffice to say, I was surprised to find this pen sitting on the shelf. The kind gentleman that runs the establishment did not know much about pens, so when he saw me looking at it he approached me and offered to sell me it for $40 instead of the $60 he had it listed for. I asked if he could go lower, and sure enough, he could. I am sure he just wanted to get rid of it because he sold it to me for $25. Significantly less than what it was worth.
